Amalfi made me put my phone down and pick my camera up.
There are places that make you want to document everything, but the more I looked through the viewfinder, the more I slowed down. I started paying attention to the color of the water, the shape of the coast, and the way the light sat on the buildings.
This is a seed for a longer photo story. I want to come back with the original frames, the ones I almost skipped over, and a few thoughts about what it means to use a camera as a way of being present rather than collecting proof that I was somewhere.
